"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Maple Lake

We went on a nice evening drive to Maple lake yesterday. It was so beautiful! I love fall and all the beautiful colors and crisp air. When we were going to park our cars we saw some cows! The kids thought that was cool. Here are some pictures.

Savannah’s field trip!

We went on a fun field trip with Savannah’s preschool class earlier this week. It was a beautiful and sunny day. It was nice to be able to get to know some of the other parents a little better. We went to an apple orchard and it was so fun for the kids to look at all the trees, pick their own apple and explore the farm. They also grew many other things like, peaches, cherries and pumpkins. They also had a fun play area there and we had a blast going down the slides together. Their shop was awesome. They sold so many things. Fruit, ice cream, fudge, cookies, donuts and lots, lots more. We absolutely loved their apple donuts and apple juice. I bought a whole dozen so that I could bring them home and share with everyone else later that day. We also bought some of their apple juice. It was a great day!

To get to the apple orchard we got to go on a tractor-hay ride. The kids loved it!

The red barn shop.

Walking in the orchard.

Listening to some information about apple trees.

Picking her apple!

Haha I love how she put her hands on his shoulders.

Savannah climbed all the way to the top!

We went on this slide many times. Tyler loved it too.

Yummy donuts.

Our move and other things…

This picture was taken on closing day right after we go our keys to our house. Such a happy day! After so many months of waiting, the house was finally ours!

The day after closing was very busy with finishing packing and cleaning our rental house. I felt so stressed! Moving is SO exhausting! I am so happy we won’t be moving for a very long time now. We are so grateful for all the help we received from our families and also from people in our old neighborhood and new. The kids have done well with the move and have settled in nicely. We love our new home. We are all unpacked now and have started to put things up on the walls. I love to see our home coming together. The kids are doing well in school. I already joined the local rec center and I love their exercise classes. Savannah has started to take a dance class once a week and loves it. The boys will start basketball in October.

Boxes, boxes, boxes. So many things.

Kids helping us load up the truck.

Last night at our old house. We couldn’t find Tyler’s pj’s so he had to wear Savannah’s. Cutie!

It makes me so happy to get notes like this.

The same day we moved into our house the neighborhood had a barbecue down at the park. They had lots of yummy food, a huge slip and slide that the kids tried, and some other fun activities. It was so nice that we didn’t have to worry about dinner that day.

Savannah had a meet and greet with her preschool teachers at a local park a few days before school started. It was fun to meet the other parents and her teachers all seem really nice.

Tyler and Savannah tried their hardest to make messes everywhere they went while I unpacked boxes in a different room.

We are so happy that the neighborhood pool opened up just a few days after we moved in. We will love having this pool so close next summer!

First day of Pre K for Savannah!

She colored her lips purple with a marker in the afternoon. Crazy girl haha!

I was leaving one night to go and do an errand and stopped by the basketball court and watched Eric play with the kids. It made me so happy to watch them!

We only live 15 min from IKEA…..!! We have been there too many times already haha.

One of my neighbors stopped by and gave us this bread and spreads. It was delicious!!

Savannah had her 4 year check up. It was kind of a crazy check up. They were way behind and we ended up waiting for more than 3o min for the doctor. While we were waiting, Savannah had to go to the bathroom. While in there the power went out for less than a minute. While I was trying to figure out why it got pitch dark in the bathroom, Tyler decided to dip his hand into the toilet. Crazy boy!

I love to hang with my family. Just the other night we had a craft night together and we have also been doing a puzzle together.

We love In and Out burgers!

The kids school had a carnival on Monday. They had lots of food trucks there and also some fun activities and bouncy houses. The kids had a blast! I got to meet Nicci’s friend from her class for the first time.

Nicci and I had waffle love for dinner, yum!

Nicci started piano lessons. A lady down the street does them and it’s so nice that Nicci can just take her bike and go there.

Tyler did NOT like this horse!!

No internet…

I haven’t posted in a while. Moving has kept me really busy and at night I have been too tired to blog. Then we decided to switch internet providers and we have not had internet for almost a week now. 🙁 We will hopefully get it on Thurs and then I will blog again. 🙂

Here are some pics from the last two weeks of summer break.

One day it was really hot outside and I didn’t feel like going swimming or being outside, so we went to nickel city. The kids loved it.

Every Tuesday for the month of August the entrance fee to a children’s museum in Lehi was cheaper than normal so we went to the museum of natural curiosity. It was awesome and a lot bigger than I thought. They had both an indoor area and stuff outdoors. We stayed there for a long time The only downside was how crowded it was. We will definitely be back.

We went to park city one day. They had a market that we went to with lots of different vendors that were selling interesting things. We bought some lunch, the kids played in a bouncy house and we also got some popcorn. When we were down with all the vendors we went on a free trolley ride around downtown park city. It was beautiful there.
