"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Savannah is 15 months!

Where has the time gone?! I feel like she is growing up so fast. She is not a baby anymore…but a very busy toddler. She is so fun to be around and is our happy little girl. She loves to snuggle more than our other kids ever wanted to do at the same age.  She loves to get into everything right now. She loves to pull down the dishwasher door and climb on top of the dishwasher, sneak into the bathroom and play in the toilet or with my make up,  throw food from the pantry in the garbage. She loves to pull out all the books from the book case and make a mess in the pantry. She loves to roll out toilet paper and pull out everything from under the sink. She is like a little tornado, or sweet little girl. She just recently learned how to get up on the couch and loves to jump on top of there. She is always ready to explore.

Nicci loves to make little crafts, necklaces and to color. She is really into making little paper dolls and putting them on popsicle sticks.

On Saturday Nicci and I had a fun day. In the afternoon we went shopping together and at night we went to the play “Annie.” We loved it!  Three of Nicci’s friends were in the play and we loved seeing them perform!

This weekend was fun and busy. Eric was able to put up some trim in the hall and in our bedroom. We attended a fun game night on Friday night and went out to eat with friends at the Poulsbo Woodfired Pizza on Saturday for dinner. Love that Pizza!

On Monday morning we went to Charitie’s house and decorated sugar cookies. 🙂 The kids loved it!

Waiting to go in

On Saturday we went to visit our sweet little Ollie at the cemetery. There have been six new babies buried in the baby land section of the cemetery since the last time we went. My heart just breaks for their parents. Ollie has lots of baby friends around him.

Miss you everyday
Miss you in every way
But we know there’s a
day when we will hold you
We will hold you
You’ll kiss our tears away
When we’re home to stay
Can’t wait for the day when we will see you
We will see you
But baby let sweet Jesus hold you
‘till mom and dad can hold you…

After we were done at the cemetery we went to IKEA. The kids got to play in the småland play area while we shopped. We got a lot of nice things. I love going to IKEA. After we were done there we had a late lunch at Apple bees.

Fun and busy week!

It’s been a fun and busy week. One night I attended a girls night and dinner with some of the Swedish ladies around here. We had the dish “Flygande Jakob”, and it was delicious. It’s always fun to get together and speak Swedish for a whole night.

My friend Adrianna invited me and two other friends for a chocolate fondue night. I loved chatting with these girls! We stayed up kind of late and I was very tired the next day but it was so fun! I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing friends.

Last night I attended a baby shower for my friend Hilary. We are so excited for her as she is getting closer to have her third boy!

I also attended a Miche bag party this week. I love these purses.

Lionel’s birthday party!

We had a “dinosaur” themed birthday party for Lionel on Saturday. He had been talking about his party for a long time and had been counting down the days. He had picked out what cake he wanted me to make and helped me by telling me what friends he wanted to invite. A lot of his little friends came and I think the party turned out nice. The kids seemed to have a fun with the activities we did and they enjoyed eating the cake and breaking the pinata at the end. 🙂

Our Halloween!

Right after Nicci came home from school we headed to downtown Poulsbo to do some trick or treating. They had closed off all of downtown from traffic and almost all the businesses on front street were handing out candy. We met up with some friends and family and had a great time. It was very crowded though. The kids got a lot of candy and also a free ice cream cone from Mora ice cream. They also got to see some fire fighters and touch a fire truck. When we were done we went and grabbed some dinner before we headed to the church for a trunk or treat. Savannah was very tired at this point and was kind of fussy so we left pretty quickly after it was done. Before we put the kids to bed we went to a neighbors house whom I had promised that we would go to with the kids. They loved seeing the kids in their costumes. 🙂 I’m so happy that it wasn’t pouring down rain this year like it did last year on Halloween. It was a great day!
