"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Rainy Weekend

Its been raining all weekend. Fall is definitely here. We even lost power for a few hours on Saturday because of the wind. I love falling asleep and waking up listening to the rain. The weekend went by fast.  We have been wanting to repaint our kitchen for a long time and we finally did. It’s a light green color, we really like it. On Saturday night our stake had a dinner before we watched the R.S broadcast together. We had a nice time. I made this yummy Quinoa Chili today.

We also played with Eric’s new remote control car that he got. We went to Nicci’s old school that closed and played with it on the school yard. The rain was pouring down but we stood under a covered area.

No more training wheels

Lionel surprised us all and learned how to ride his bike without training wheels today. He was so cute and excited about it!  Sweet boy!

Eric and I had a fun date Saturday night. First we went out to eat at Applebee’s. I had a chicken enchilada pasta bake and Eric had a jalapeno burger with fries. Later we went and watched one of our friends perform in the musical “Hairspray.” It was so fun! 🙂 The kids did great with the babysitter and were asleep when we came home.

R.S Retreat

On Friday night we had a fun relief society activity at Zion’s camp in Belfair. I carpooled with Jaime and Robin and it was so fun to talk to them during the hour drive there and home. We had a fun night at Zion’s. We watched two movies, sang songs, ate dinner, played games, talked and laughed. I love spending time with friends. 🙂

While I was at the retreat. Eric had fun with the kids at home. He made them super hero capes, gave them baths and fed them pizza. He is such a great dad!

Cute picture

I found this cute picture on Eric’s phone. Savvy and daddy sharing a breakfast smoothie. 🙂

Going on a walk

We all love to go on walks. 🙂  Lionel is so happy that his favorite stuffed dog is home again. We accidentally left the dog at their aunt Tiffany’s house in June when we were in Utah. Lionel missed his dog a lot. He was so happy to get the dog in the mail yesterday.

Mini trampoline

I got this mini trampoline for 7 dollars at the Goodwill yesterday, and the kids love it! It’s nice to have on rainy days when they don’t want to be outside and jump on the big one.

I went and got a haircut at a friend’s house last Monday. She thinned it a little, cut some layers and cut it a little shorter. I really like  it!

Hair when its straight.

Game Night

We had a fun game night with Eric, Carrissa, Garet and Mindy on Friday night.  We love hanging out with them! We talked, played two fun games, ate lots of yummy treats and had some italian soda. We got a soda maker a while ago and we use it a lot. We laughed SO hard when Eric and Carrissa came and we noticed that both Eric’s wore the same shirt. So funny! 🙂

Earlier that night we had been down at the community beach with the Lea’s. We enjoyed some yummy pizza while we talked and the kids played. It was an awesome Friday night.
