"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Savannah’s 1st birthday!

Our sweet little rainbow baby Savannah turned 1 on Sunday, August 25th. We all love her so much and she has brought so much joy to our family. She has healed a big part of my broken heart. She is a very easy going little girl. She loves to snuggle and play with us. She is almost walking now, and the kids love to watch her learn new things. She loves to play with balls and blocks. Her smile melts our hearts. My sweet little girl! She had her 1 year check up on the 26th and she 23.3 lbs (75%) and 30.5 inches (90%).

Visiting Ollie

On the way home from Chehalis we stopped by the cemetery to visit our sweet little Ollie. It was a very peaceful evening. We miss him.

Baptism

On Saturday we went to a baptism in Chehalis. Emma, the oldest daughter of one of Eric’s cousins was baptized. Afterward we enjoyed a yummy lunch at the church before going over to their house to relax, chat and celebrate Garet’s birthday. The kids had fun and played for hours. It was a really nice day.

Kitsap Fair

We went to the Kitsap fair on Friday with Carrissa and her friend Briana. The kids decided to get up at 6 that morning, so when we got to the fair around 11 they were already kind of tired and cranky. We had some ups and downs with a few tantrums here and there (Jordan ;)), but overall they had a fun time. The kids got to go on one ride, eat cotton candy and look at all the animals. I think they loved the miniature horses the most. 🙂 While I was walking around at the fair I thought a lot about last year, how I went into labor with Savannah after coming home from the fair. Good memories.

Trip to Oregon

We went to visit my sister and her family this past weekend. We had a great time. We went to a county fair, played a really fun board game called Agricula, went shopping, played at the park and talked lots! 🙂  It was so fun to spend time with family! The kids always have fun with their cousins.

Here are some pictures.

At the county fair. The kids got to pet, brush and sit on the cows.

The kids loved all the trucks. They especially loved honking the very loud horn over and over again.

Thanks for such a fun weekend!

A date in Seattle

My awesome sister in law Breanna came over on Saturday and watched our kids so that Eric and I could go on a fun date in Seattle. We went to Pioneer square, we had lunch at a restaurant called “The Pink Door,” we walked through Pike’s Place Market, walked by the gum wall, went to the Curiosity shop and went on the Ferris wheel. It was a gorgeous day!

We saw this sign and had to get a picture.

The smell by the gum wall was sooo bad. I just wanted to hold my breath and run away.

Bug Museum and Splash park

On Wednesday Amie and I took our kids to a bug museum and splash park in Bremerton. They had lots of bugs, reptiles, and insects for the kids to look at. Savannah really liked the splash park and the kids had fun with their friends.
