"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Whaling Day Parade

We took the kids to the whaling day parade last Saturday. Last year they gave the kids lots of candy during the parade and they remembered that. So before it was time to go, the kids decided to bring some boxes to put candy in. It was so cute.  This year, however, they didn’t gave out hardly any candy so that kind of disappointed them a little. But they still had a lot of fun!

In the afternoon we had a pioneer activity at church. We had some yummy food and the kids played some games.

Bye Bye Dad

My dad is on his way to Portland, OR now to visit my sister and her family. We have had 5 fun days together! We all miss you!

Bremerton Splash Park

The kids has a great time at the Bremerton splash park yesterday!

Beach and Minigolf

Here are some pics from yesterday.

We went to the beach and had fun.

After dinner we went to play minigolf.

We had a scary thing happen. Nicci told us that Jordan dropped his ball in the water and when he tried to reach for it he fell into the water. It all happened so fast. I was focused on trying to get my ball into the hole when I heard Nicci scream for me. That’s when I saw Jordan almost under the water, trying to stand up but kept falling forward. I could see the panic in his eyes. I ran over there and I was almost jumping in when another guy climbed in and got him out. He started to cry a little but calmed down pretty fast. We had a change of clothes in the car that we put on him and since he was happy again we were able to finish the game. I got the worst score.

The nasty water he fell into.

Jordan, about 10 minutes after he fell in. Happy but wet.

Lavender Farm

We visited a Lavender farm yesterday. The flowers were beautiful and they smelled so good. The kids ran around and had fun.

My Dad is Here!

My dad came to visit from Sweden late, last night. It’s been three years since the last time he was here. It’s been fun to show him our house and other places. The kids were so excited to see him this morning. I am so happy that he brought so much yummy Swedish candy and chocolate. Its so fun to have him here! My parents gave us an adorable dress for Savannah. My dad also got her two cute outfits today. 🙂

I made some new curtains today. I think they turned out really cute. I love my sewing machine!

Going to the Circus

On Thursday afternoon we took the kids to a circus that was in town. Quite frankly, it was one of the worst circuses I have ever been too.  I think the kids had fun though. I think they liked the elephants the best.

Jordan trying cotton candy for the first time.

Nicci loved it!

I have been doing different little projects around the house lately. Here is the latest one. I was tired of just having Nicci’s hair clips in a drawer and I wanted something to hang Savannah’s headbands on.

I got these ideas from pinterest and made some of my own in photoshop, printed them and put them in frames.

These two I made for the kids bathroom.

These two I made for the boys room.

This one hangs in Nicci’s room

I put this one in our family room.
