"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

"The deep hurt is the mirror image of the deep joy that still awaits you." - Bruce C. Hafen

Pajama Storytime

We took the kids to the library last nigh for pajama storytime. They were so cute sitting there in their pj’s.

Oliver’s Christmas Ornaments

I got two cute Christmas ornaments in memory of Oliver to put on our Christmas tree. The first one my sister gave me. It looks like this,

The other one we got on Friday and it looks like this. It says, Oliver James, Our Celestial Angel.

I have had fun decorating our house. Eric went up on the roof yesterday and put up the Christmas lights. It looks so cute.

We got a new Christmas tree and some new ornaments last year. I love our new tree.

The kids love to move and play with these houses. I wish I had a better place for them where the kids can’t reach them. 😉

Homemade Salsa

I got a new mixer the other day and I wanted to try it. I made this yummy salsa today! It is sooo good!

Black Friday

My friend Melanie and I went to Walmart on Thursday night at 10pm to do some shopping. There was a ton of people there!! It was crazy! I got everything I came for though so that made me happy! The kids will be very happy at Christmas. We also went out a little bit on Black Friday and Eric got some shoes.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We celebrated it with two other families from our ward. Everyone brought lots of yummy food and we had hardly any room to put everything on our counter tops! For dessert we had three different kinds of pie; pumpkin, lemon meringue, and strawberry rhubarb. I was so stuffed! The kids watched movies and played all afternoon while the adults talked and played two different board games. Such a fun day!

The kids waiting for the food.

Some of the food.

Nicci at Preschool

Yesterday we got to hear Nicci sing with her preschool class again. They were all so cute.

Get Gas

We were at Walmart this morning and on the way out the kids ran over to the little area that have different games. Lionel picked up a gun and said, “Let’s get gas.” Haha he had no idea it was a gun, he thought it was a gas pump.

Hand Therapy Appointment

I had a hand therapy appointment today and she said that it looked better than expected! Yay, I was so happy to hear that. I got some new exercises and next week I can take the splint off to do them but I still need to wear it for 3 more weeks. She also let me have my index finger out now. Hooray!
