"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Here are some pictures from the last couple of days.

The kids had fun at the mall on Saturday!

Lionel and Nicci pretending that Nicci is a dog

We got a new dress for Nicci. She loves it! She made us very happy when she stayed in Primary by herself the whole time today! Go Nicci!

The kids made cookies today (with help from Eric). The had  a lot of fun!

Yummy cookies.

My Flower Wreath

I decided I wanted to make my own flower wreath for our door with the letter M hanging in the middle. Now when I am done and I look at it I can think of a lot of things I could have done different, but I still like it. It’s fun to make things sometimes instead of buying it.

I have to post a picture of the kids. I bought them some water color paint and they were so happy!

Family get together and Silly kids

Last night we had a family get together at aunt Cindy’s and uncle Dave’s house. We ate lots of food and dessert, hung out and talked. Kevin and Tracey brought their new puppy, Lola. She is adorable and the kids love her! She is only 6 weeks old and so tiny.

Here are two pictures from today.

Nicci went into our office, got some of my ribbon and tied it around one of her dogs to use as a leash.

Silly kids right before it was time to go to bed.

Valentine’s Dance and Playing Outside

Last night we went to a Stake Valentine’s Dance for the third year in a row. We almost didn’t go because we had procrastinated getting a babysitter, but in the last minute, a sweet girl in our ward came over and watched them. We left after we put the kids to bed, so all she had to do was watch them while they were sleeping. It was so fun to dance! We met a lot of friends there and ate some brownies and ice cream. I wish we could go out dancing more than just once a year. The stake has been having some ballroom dance classes, but we have been so busy we haven’t gone. I didn’t take any pictures at the dance like I normally do…oh well. The previous two years we went to the dance we always had a baby with us but this year was the first with just Eric and me, yay!

Today we have been working outside a lot. Eric closed some holes up by the roof to prevent birds to fly in under our roof and build nests like they did last year. We also moved some large rocks by our drive way. It was sunny outside today but very cold. The kids love to be outside though. When the kids were napping I went to Joann and looked around a cute crafts…I have some things I want to make in the near future. Tonight we made home made pizza and it was soooo good!

Valentine’s and Gymnastics

We had a nice Valentine’s day. We had joy school in the morning and the kids got some cute valentine’s gifts and candy from some of their friends. During joy school all the kids got to make Valentine’s cards for someone special. Lionel made one for Eric and glued a chocolate to the card. He kept asking for the chocolate over and over again that whole day until Eric came home. It was driving me a little crazy. When Eric came home we went out to eat at an italian pizza and pasta place called “Stella’s”” It was so good. When we came home we ate a lot of chocolate and had a nice, relaxing evening.

Today Nicci had her gymnastics class again  and we also stayed for the open gym afterwards. They had a lot of fun as usual. Nicci’s class is between 10.30 and 11. Open gym doesn’t start until 11.30 so I always have half an hour to kill before the kids can start playing. Nicci and Jordan are usually fine just watching the next class. Lionel however was horrible today. He wanted to go in and play so bad that he started to whine and cry when I told him it wasn’t time yet. They only have these small swinging doors in between the waiting area and the big gym room so its so easy for the kids to just push the doors open and run in.  He tried to sneak in and I had to run after him over and over again. After a while I got so tired of how he was acting that I told him that we would go out and wait in the car. He totally freaked out because he thought we were going to go home, so he was screaming like crazy and I felt like everyone was looking. Out in the car I told him that we could go in again if he calmed down and sat down and waited on a chair. After a few minutes he had calmed down so we went back inside again. That boy is trying my patience for sure. The terrible twos have kicked in with full force.

Some pics I took with my phone.

Hair cut and Visiting Family

On Saturday I went and got a hair cut. I know it doesn’t look very different but she cut off like 6 inches. I like it a lot!  Afterwards I just had to go to Payless Shoes which is right next to the hair salon and I found cute purple shoes that were on sale! Score!

Today we went to Kevin and Tracey’s and had a nice, relaxing time there. The kids always get so excited when we go there. They got to help Tracey make a banana pie, and they liked that.

My new hair cut. It would look even shorter if I hadn’t straightened it. Poor Jordan had just woken up from his nap.

Playing with grandma

This is a picture from last week when the kids were playing with a bouncy ball. I think Nicci’s facial expression is so funny.

We had a good weekend. On Friday we went to Silverdale and I found a pair of pants. The kids got to play in the mall. They have opened a new store in the mall and I LOVED all the clothes in there. They have a really cute satin dress that I really want! On Saturday we went to walmart to buy some groceries. I also bought two cute plants that I hope will live for a long time. I have a tendency to kill plants very fast. Ha ha we will see how it goes. One of them is a cute bonsai plant.

We had been invited over for dinner to a nice family in our ward Saturday night. They have three children, all teenagers. We had a nice turkey dinner, the food was delicious! The kids made me feel so stressed though. I had to run after them all over the house because they wanted to touch everything. I was so scared they were going to break something. Nicci lifted up the piano cover once and slammed it down really hard. They also picked up a brass tea set and started to play with it. At dinner Nicci got mad when she wasn’t getting more apple juice so she threw the juice carton down on the table so it tipped over. (She didn’t have a nap that day). Luckily the lid was on. They refused to eat any food, except for dinner rolls. They were eating on very nice plates and I was so scared they were going to drop them on the floor. They kept running around opening different doors, to the pantry, one of the boy’s bedroom etc. We had a good time hanging out and talking but boy was I relived when we left and they had not broken anything. Holy cow.

Tonight I have been thinking of ideas for my joy school lesson tomorrow. The weather has been so yucky today….I can’t wait for spring to come. We made some really yummy pork roast in the crock pot today. It was so moist, juicy and tender! We also made cinnamon rolls and they were delicious!

I have a mix of pictures and videos here. On Monday we cut out some Valentine’s decorations and put them up in the window. Nicci keeps asking me every day now, “Is it Valentine’s today?”

Here is a video of the kids marching to some music.

The kids love to play memory with me!

Nicci had her first gymnastics class today. She did great! She did everything the teacher told her to do and she had so much fun! The class is called Kinderkittenz and they have a really nice teacher.
