"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Game Night!

Last night we had a fun game night with Mindy and Garet and Eric and Carrissa! We played a game called “Quelf” and it was hilarous! We ate lots of yummy snacks and candy and laughed a ton!! Eric even got teary eyed a few times because he was laughing so hard! I definitely want to play that game again.

Nicci has been asking me every day this week if we can go to the park and have a picnic. We had a lot of picnics in the park last summer when it was nice and warm outside. I keep telling her that when the sun comes out and makes it warmer outside we will go to the park and have a picnic. Every morning when I open the blinds in her room she says, “Look mom, the sun is out! Let’s go and have a picnic in the park!” “You bring a blanket, sandwiches, juice and some fruit!” “Please mommy please!” Sweet little girl….too bad it’s still so wet and yucky outside.

Nicci is very into stuffed animals right now. She either carries around all her dogs or all her care bears. She takes them everywhere!

Eric was so nice and let me sleep in both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. It was so nice! I love you babe!

Fun at Zero Gravity!

Today we went to Zero gravity which is a  gymnastics and cheer leading facility. They have a lot of different gymnastic, dance and cheer leading classes for children of all ages. Every Monday and Wednesday they have a few hours of “open gym.” It costs 3 dollars per family and the kids can come and play. They have a huge room with a big trampoline, lots of gymnastic equipment and lots of balls. The kids love this place. Nicci had so much fun! It’s nice to just let them run around and play. I got some pictures from today. Nicci’s favorite thing was swinging from the rope and jumping on the trampoline. Jordan was being a little stinker and kept running out to the main office and I had to chase after him over and over again. He had fun pushing all the big balls there. The kids took long, good naps after we came home. I’m definitely going to take the kids there again. We have decided that Nicci is going to enroll in a gymnastics class for 3-4 year olds this spring. I think she will love it and her friend Shanna is going to be in the same class too.

Blurry pic taken with my phone.

Nicci loved swinging with the rope.

Cute Jordan

On Friday last week we bought a nice mirror at Ross and put it up in our hallway. We really like it.

I am still not feeling 100% all the way better with my cold yet. I am so tired of not being able to breathe through my nose. I have started to read again after a little break and I like all the books I have read so far. Yesterday I took the kids to story time at the library. Sometimes when we go there they act completely crazy, well Lionel does I should say. I never know what to expect. Yesterday they all did so good though and all the kids got a free book from the library. They were very excited. When I came home, Eric sent me a message and told me to look for my wallet. I went and looked for it in my bag but I couldn’t find it! Turned out I had left it at the library check out counter. Whops. They had called Eric and told him about it so he went and got it…whew!

I want a Semla sooo bad. I think I’m going have to make some next week!

Crazy Kids

The other day when I was talking on the phone, I heard the kids making a lot of noise downstairs in the family room. When i went down, this is what I saw:

They had taken all the toys and dumped them right in front of the door. It was hard for me to open it! I asked Nicci what they were doing and she told me, “We are having a party!”

It’s been a few days since I blogged…Eric and I went to the temple on Friday night. It was very nice!   We came home to my in laws house around 10.30 that night (they were watching our kids) and stayed the night and spent the whole day Saturday with them. I didn’t bring the camera so no pictures.

I have some pictures from today when we had Joy school. Carrissa had prepared a really fun lesson for the kids. We had a smaller group today because three kids were sick. We hope they feel better soon.

Some other random things…..

I am so tired of my cold that doesn’t seem to want to go away. I feel fine but my congested nose is driving me crazy. The kids are feeling better but still cough sometimes.

Yesterday I got to see a little 1 week old baby girl that my friend had last week. She is so cute and adorable.

I made two cute new flower hair clips for Nicci last Thursday. She really likes them.

I taught Relief Society on Sunday and it went well!

That’s all for now.

They got to dress up.

making a craft. Lionel was upset because he told me he was done with his paper so I took it away to dry and then he wanted it back.

Putting some yummy frosting on graham crackers.

It snowed a lot last night and the kids were so happy! I took Nicci and Lionel outside when Jordan took his morning nap. They had a lot of fun. Nicci kept saying, “I love snow, I don’t want it to go away.” I helped them make a snowman. When the snowman was done Nicci looked at him and said, “Why is he not talking?” Funny girl. They were throwing snow, eating snow (yuck), laying down in the snow. Fun, fun, fun. The snow was very thick and heavy so Lionel had a little hard time walking, he looked so cute. The kids have been feeling kind of sick the last few days. They have had bad coughs and runny noses. They seem like they are getting better every day now which is very nice.

Toddler Dance Party!

Today we took the kids to a toddler dance party in Silverdale. They were a little hesitant at first but had fun playing with balloons, bubbles and scarves. Jordan was walking all over the place and got into everything.

New Years Weekend!

My sister and her family came and visited us this weekend. It was so fun to have them here!  We went shopping, watched movies, ate a lot of food and relaxed!
