"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

"The deep hurt is the mirror image of the deep joy that still awaits you." - Bruce C. Hafen

Our Thanksgiving!

We had a fun thanksgiving! We went over to Eric’s dad’s house and had a great time. The food was delicious and we were all stuffed when it was time to go home. I love to spend time with family.
Here are some pictures:

Belly Pic!

Here is a belly pic at 35 weeks and 6 days, almost 36 weeks!

Life is good. I can’t believe baby Jordan will be here so soon. I had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions today and felt very uncomfortable. This pregnancy has been my easiest so far, but a few days ago I just started to feel more tired and achy than before. I can really tell the baby is getting bigger and bigger. I just feel so big and fat. I can’t wait to have this baby so I can lose weight and feel more like myself again. I got the swine flu shot last week and got a head ache that lasted for 4 days! It was really annoying but I’m happy I got the shot. Nicci’s cough went away and both kids are feeling better so that makes me happy. Nicci has started this annoying thing to get out of bed over and over again when I put her down for her nap. She used to just lay down and go to sleep but now, as soon as I close the door, she is up, turns on the lights and starts to play. It is annoying to have to go in over and over again and tell her to go to sleep. Sometimes I have to do it for over an hour until she finally gives up. She is a good girl though; she loves to help me with everything. She always wants to help me cook or do the dishes. She always gets a chair so that she can stand on it and watch me do different things in the kitchen.

My doctor wants me to have an ultrasound soon to check Jordan’s weight. Since both Nicci and Lionel were big babies, we are pretty sure this one will be too. I can’t wait to have this baby!

Here are some recent pictures:

Nicci got sick the day after Halloween. Here she is eating candy while she was watching a movie.

Nicci loves to dance. Here she is dancing with her doll.

Lionel got a haircut. My little cutie.

The kids just love it when Eric reads to them.

We got the kids some new hats. They are so cute!

Lionel’s Birthday Party!

We celebrated Lionel’s birthday yesterday, (Saturday). Eric’s dad, Tracey, Cassie and her kids and the twins came. We had a lot of fun. We ate dinner and cake. Lionel was a little tired and overwhelmed at times but I think he had a good time. Here are some pics that Tracey took.

Lionel’s 1-Year Check up!

Lionel had his 1 year check up yesterday. He now weighs 22 lbs (25-50th percentile) and he is 29 3/4 inches tall (50th percentile). The doctor said everything looked great. Poor little Lionel got 4 shots and he has been completely MISERABLE today. He has been crying pretty much all day and has been really clingy. He got a low fever too. He took 4 naps today instead of his normal 2, so yeah it has been kind of a crazy day. I hope he will feel better tomorrow.

I thought it would be fun to see what Nicci’s stats were for her 1 year check up; she was 25 lbs 12 oz and 31 1/2 inches tall. Both 97th percentile)  She was a lot taller than Lionel!

Eric has been home sick for a few days and Nicci got some antibiotics for her cough that never seems to want to go away. I have been feeling really tired today too. Hopefully we will all feel better tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Lionel!

My precious little boy is turning 1 today! Time sure flies. He started out as a fussy baby. He cried pretty much all day long for the first 4 months of his life. He had problems with acid reflux and I had to cut out dairy from my diet when I was nursing him. As he grew older he started to become less fussy and we could really get to know this little guy. We love him so much. We love his sweet big smile, his big cheeks, his soft skin, the way he looks so excited when he sees us, just everything about him. He loves to play with cars and trains and makes funny noises when he plays with them. Happy birthday sweet Lionel, we love you so much! We are so happy to have you be part of our family.

Our Halloween!

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! We had a lot of fun. We went to a chili cook off, trunk or treat and also spent some time at Eric’s uncle’s house. I can’t believe its November 1st today! Only 2 more days and Lionel will be 1! Here are three pictures from our Halloween.
