"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

"The deep hurt is the mirror image of the deep joy that still awaits you." - Bruce C. Hafen

Yummy Trifle!

My friend Christine and I made some yummy trifle yesterday. We made a lot, so it was good that we invited some friends over for family home evening so they could help us eat it. Eric did a great lesson and we played some Catch phrase too. The trifle was so delicious! I have never made trifle before so it was a lot of fun! The trifle contains angel food cake, strawberry jello, strawberries, raspberries, vanilla custard, and whipped cream!

To Grandma’s House We Go!

Today we had a fun day with family. We spent the day with Eric’s dad, Tracey and the twins and later we had dinner with Eric’s mom, aunt and her family. I love to see the kids interact with their grandparents. I’m so happy we live close to them.

More Nicci!

Nicci likes to brush her teeth:

This is Nicci getting ready for bed. She is playing peek-a-boo with Eric.

Nicci loves to play with her plastic animals. She loves to make fun noises when she plays with them. Most of the time, she growls like a tiger. Grrrrrrr,
wrrrrraaaaaaaaah. She is funny.

Nicci Likes to Draw!

Nicci loves to draw. She gets so happy when I put her in the
high chair, tape a paper to her tray and let her draw. She is so cute! Today
when we were driving in the car I looked over at the kids and saw that Lionel
was holding Nicci’s hand. It looked so cute and I wished I could have taken a
picture of it. Lionel is on formula now. He is doing so good eating from a
bottle. The only downside is that the formula makes him very
constipated….poor little guy. It’s nice to be able to eat whatever I want
again. I really missed eating cheese, milk and yoghurt. I can’t believe March
is almost over! Soon we have been here
in Washington for one year. Time is going so fast. Sometimes I just look at the
kids and feel amazed how fast they grow. Lionel has been rolling over for a few
weeks now. He can do it both from back to belly and belly to back. He is cooing
and making us laugh often.

Yesterday we rented the movie Twilight. I liked it…it was
okay…but I like the books so much more.

New Video

Here’s a video of nicci dancing!

Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Eric dressed up in a funny hat at work today.

Lionel had to wear it too.

Tonight I’m going to a Relief Society birthday dinner. Yummy!

Family Pictures!

Here are just a few. Our photographer did such a great job! I’m excited to get some printed out so that we can put them up on the walls!

Lionel in the Swing!

The weather has been beautiful these last few days. I can tell spring is in the air! I love to take the kids outside!

Have a nice weekend!

What Happens When…..

I forget to close the bathroom door?

Nicci made a mess while she tried to “clean” the toilet.
