"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

"The deep hurt is the mirror image of the deep joy that still awaits you." - Bruce C. Hafen

My Favorite People!

I love my family so much!

Nicci always brings books to the table.

Nicci at the Indoor Playground!

We often go to an indoor playground at the mall. Nicci loves to play there. I took some pictures there today. I can’t believe Lionel will be 3 months soon. Time goes so fast! Nicci has said some new words, duck, bath, bad, dog, milk, no, kitty, mouth and bear. Here are some pictures.

We went to the mall kind of early in the morning and there were only two other kids at the playground. Nicci was like, “Where is everybody?”

Nicci got very concerned when another little girl started crying.

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a blog with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.

*I can’t go to bed until my kitchen and living
room is cleaned. I absolutely hate waking up to a messy house!

*I always shower at night, well unless Eric is
home. There is just not any time to do that in the morning.

*I’m the third of 10 children. I have six sisters
and three brothers.

*I played the violin for many years.

*I never take the garbage out, that’s Eric’s job.

*I always assume people think I’m weird.

*I can be very shy if I’m in a big crowd.

*Since I had kids, I can fall asleep in a few
seconds. Eric is kind of amazed by this. As soon as Lionel is fed in the middle
of the night and is sleeping, I’m out before my head hits the pillow.

*I have never been a big breakfast person. It
doesn’t matter how hungry I am, I always have to make myself eat breakfast.

*I absolutely LOVE cheese cake….YUMMY!!

*I love all kinds of fruit juices. We always have
juice at home.

*I took 4 years of Spanish in school.

*I absolutely hate to handle raw chicken. It
really grosses me out.

*I hate being cold. I’m always the one turning
the heat up while Eric is always turning it down.

*My favorite food has been tacos for many, many

*I hate cleaning, but love a clean house!

*I’m deathly afraid of bees.

*I love junk food, but try to eat healthy.

*I love being a stay at home mom!! I feel so
blessed that I am able to stay home with best kids in the world.

*I tend to over analyze things.

*I hate movies with bad endings.

*I wish it wasn’t so expensive to go home to

*I can’t stand it to have any of my blinds shut
during the day. They are always open. Otherwise I feel like I’m in a cave.

*I love to try out new recipes.

*I love blogging and reading other peoples blogs.

So Proud of President Obama

Today I feel so proud of president Obama!  If you voted for him you should too!  Finally a president who can uphold good Christian morals, like protecting the lives of innocent, unborn embryos.  Today, he lifted a ban on federal funding for international groups that promote or perform abortions, reversing a policy of his predecessor, George W. Bush.  Oh wait…I’m sorry.  I was mistaken.  Indeed, we have NO reason to be proud of President Obama today.  With the removal of this ban, our tax dollars can be used to promote abortion all over the world!  Just one more reason for countries like Iran to hate us.  Of course, it won’t stop here.  Obama also wants to lift the ban on stem cell research.  So for all you Christians out there who oppose the ending of life, be it embyo or fetus, I share your sadness.  But for those of you who supported Obama’s run for presidency, I ask why?  What was it about him that made you feel that putting a man like this in office was worth forsaking your morals?  Feel free to post a comment.

I love America and what she stands for.  I love the democratic process that we have, even if it means that sometimes those with opposing political ideologies come to power.  It’s why this nation is so great.  But at the same time it saddens me that we americans choose to support such things as abortion.

Fun Pics!

Here are some pictures:

Nicci loves to watch the school bus drive by.

Nicci always wants a lot of stuffed animals and dolls in her crib when she takes a nap.

Fun With Grandma and Grandpa!

Today we went to see Eric’s family. It was a lot of fun.
Nicci had so much fun with her grandma and grandpa. She loved the attention!
Lionel was really happy and sweet the whole day. Another fun thing is….I found out today that I have lost all my pregnancy weight that I gained with Lionel…and 5 more pounds!!  I think being on a no dairy diet might have helped as well, since I have a hard time finding things to eat. Here are some pictures from
today.Maybe I will upload some more videos later.

Nicci’s Hair….

I can do cute things with Nicci’s hair now. Before it was too short. It’s hard to make it look really nice though, because she moves a ton while I do it.

Nicci always puts her fingers in her mouth…

Nicci got mad because she wanted to hold the camera.

Nicci has started to say more words now. I have been trying to remember all the words she has said so far. Here is a list:

*Mommy (Mamma)

* Daddy (Da Da)

*Nicci (Na Na)

*Fish (Fisshh)

* Please (Plllss)

*Ball (Baaa)

*Li Li (nickname for Lionel)

*Bye Bye

*Sssh (When Lionel is taking a nap)

*Yum Yum (She says this when she eats)

*Food (Booo)

Those are all I can think of right now. She says new words almost every day.

Eric surprised me with a picture

Some Random Pictures!

I can’t believe my baby is 2 months. He had his well baby check-up yesterday and weighs 13 lbs 6 oz and is 23 1/2 inches long. He still gets acid reflux medicine 3 times a day and I don’t eat any dairy right now. All this so that our little guy will feel better. He is so cute! He loves to lay on his back just look around at everything. I love it when he coos and smiles. He is a good sleeper and for that I am SO grateful.

Eric went back to work on Monday and our schedule is back to normal. A few weeks ago one of my friends and I signed up for a cake decorating class. We had our first class yesterday and it was a lot of fun! We have three more class sessions to go to. I’m excited to learn new things. It will be fun to surprise Nicci with a cool cake for her 2nd birthday.

Nicci starts nursery in the beginning of February but she can go in and visit two weeks early. yay! It will be so nice for her.

Here are some pictures.

Lionel’s Blessing!

Lionel was blessed today. We are very happy that a lot of family could come. Lionel is such a sweet baby and we love him so much. Eric’s cousin Bryce just returned home from his mission in Paraguay earlier this week and it was fun to see him too. Lionel woke up after the blessing so he was a little fussy when we took the pictures, but we got some cute ones. We didn’t get any pictures of Nicci and Lionel, because Nicci was taking a nap at the time.
