"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Cute Pic!

Eric took this cute pic of Nicci when he took the kids to the park the other day.  Jordan is so far a very calm baby. He sleeps and eats a lot. Today he had his 2 week check up. He now weighs 9lbs 12 oz and measures 22 inches. That’s exactly how big and tall Nicci was when she was born! She was a big girl! My mom is arriving here on Friday night and she is going to stay with us for 2 weeks. I am so excited! I am so grateful that Eric has been able to be home for two weeks with us and then my mom will be here for 2 weeks as well.

Lionel vs Jordan!

I thought it was so fun to take a picture of Jordan in the same outfit Lionel wore last year. Lionel was a little older than Jordan is when his picture was taken. Jordan weighed more at birth but Lionel’s cheeks are definitely bigger.   My cute little boys.

We had a fun Christmas. We spent Christmas day with Eric’s dad and Tracey. The kids had a lot of fun and we ate a ton of yummy food!!! Jordan slept most of the time we were there. I love Christmas. I loved to watch my kids open their gifts. They have so much fun with their new toys. Both of them went to sleep last night with the new stuffed animals they got from their grandma and grandpa. Tracey took some really cute pics of Jordan yesterday. Here are some:

Jordan Eric

Our beautiful baby boy was born on December 19th at 5.31 am. He was 9lbs 3 oz and 21.2 inches long. We are very happy to be home from the hospital.

Baby Update….

So…I was supposed to be induced on Monday the 14th. My doctor had put me on the list for an elective induction and both of us really thought it was going to be pretty easy to get me in….now its Thursday the 17th…I am due today and still no baby. Since I am an elective induction I am a low priority.  The hospital has been so busy and they have been rejecting me every day this week. It has been so hard to call every morning, hoping to get in and get a “No, we are sorry, there are no beds available…” I will keep calling them for the rest of this week…and I am also hoping I will go into labor myself. I saw my doctor today and also had a non stress test. The baby seems to be doing fine. I am now dilated to a 4!! I just can’t believe it…I can’t understand how I can be dilated that much and still be waiting for labor to start. Come on baby Jordan! Come out to us!  He’s got my stubbornness for sure…

A Fun Night!

We had a fun night. First we went to a Paladin activity were we glazed pottery. Eric helped Nicci with a little pig and I did a bowl. Lionel was very patient while we were there. Afterward we went to a ward Christmas party. The kids had a ton of energy and ran around everywhere. We had some yummy food and dessert. After dinner they had a little Nativity play. Eric was one of the wise men. They sang a song and it was really nice. When Nicci saw Eric she said, “Daddy has a blanket on,” really loud. She was so funny.

38 Week Ob-visit!

Today I had my 38 week appointment. I am 2 cm dilated and everything seemed to be well with the baby. The induction is still on for Monday. I hope this week will go fast. I am so tired of being pregnant, my back hurts and I have heart burn like crazy….I am so curious how big this baby will be. I just hope everything will go smooth and the baby will be healthy. Nicci talks about baby Jordan every day. She comes up to me and gives my belly a hug and a kiss. I got a book from the library that talks about getting a little brother or sister and Nicci called it “Baby Jordan’s book.” Every night she would ask for baby Jordan’s book. On the last page there was a picture of a mom, a baby, a brother and a sister. Nicci would point to everyone and say mommy, Nicci, Li Li and baby Jordan. It was so cute! She was really sad the day I returned it to the library.
Two of Eric’s cousins threw me a really nice baby shower last Saturday. It was so much fun to get together with friends and family. I got some really cute things.
We are ready for you sweet baby!

Nicci Got Into My Makeup…

Earlier tonight we were all in the living room. Nicci left for a few minutes and we just thought she went to her bedroom. After a while I thought it was a little too quiet so I went to look for her. She was not in her room, but in our bathroom playing with my make up. She had made a mess! She also painted the walls with my mascara. This is what she looked like when we found her:
