"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Christmas!

We had a really nice Christmas. On Christmas Eve we had a big family get together at Eric’s parents house. It was a lot of fun! Christmas morning we spent home by ourselves, but later we went back to Eric’s dad’s house and spent the day there. I love spending time with family! Lionel was kind of fussy yesterday…poor guy.. but we had a good day. Here are some pictures from Christmas. First some from the Christmas eve party:

Snow, and More Snow!

It has been snowing like crazy these last few days. Eric worked from home two days because the roads were really bad. It has been nice to have him home though. On Sunday church was canceled so we got together with some friends and sang Christmas songs and later that evening we also played a game together. Here are some recent pics from this weekend.

Snow!!

It started snowing yesterday! Yay! It’s not very much but it still gives me more of a feeling of Christmas. This is what it looked like outside this morning.

Last night we went to a ward Christmas party. It was fun. They had a lot of good food and lots of musical performances. Nicci wanted to run around everywhere so we were not sitting down much. We didn’t stay the whole time because Nicci got really tired, but we heard Eric sing with the ward choir. Friday night we had a game night with two of Eric’s cousins and their spouses. The girls were over here at our place and the guys over at Eric’s cousin’s house. All the kids went to bed before it started so that was nice.  It was a lot of fun. We stayed up pretty late and I was soo tired the next day, but it’s definitely something we have to do again.
This is just a picture of me and Lionel. He loves to sleep on me like this.

Lionel has been very fussy these last 3 weeks. He always cried a lot after every feeding. I started to wonder why so I took him to the doctor and found out he has acid reflux. Now we give him medicine 3 times a day and I have seen a major improvement. He is so much calmer and happier. Yay for medicins that work! We love our little guy.

Oh and I don’t think I have posted these….

Nicci and Her Doll!

Ever since Lionel joined our family, Nicci has become very attached to her doll. She loves her doll so much. Every time I’m stuck on the couch breast-feeding this is what she does to entertain herself. It cracks me up how she must be watching me and then copies everything with her doll. She has also started to want to take her doll or stuffed animals everywhere. Last time we went grocery shopping her little kitty followed along. Nicci was sitting in the cart happily holding the stuffed cat while I was getting groceries. She also wants to have her doll in her bed when she is sleeping. Here are some pictures.

Whoops, someone is already in the swing. Dolly has to wait.

Busy Week!

We have had a busy but fun week. We are almost done with our Christmas shopping. I can’t wait for Eric to see what I got him. I’m really curious what he got me too. Next week Nicci has to get her flu shot…and on Saturday we have a ward Christmas party. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun. Lionel has fallen in love with his swing and it makes it really nice for me because I get a lot more done during the day. He tends to sleep longer there than in his bassinet or bouncer. Nicci is 16 months now. Only two more months until she starts nursery. Hooray! She went in there a little bit today and liked it a lot. Anyways, here are some pictures.

Christmas Decorations and Stroller ride!

We put up our Christmas decorations in our apartment. This is our Christmas tree. I love it!

Today I took the kids on a walk. I really like our stroller. I can’t wait until I’ve had my 6 week check-up. Then I can go jogging with them! Lionel is growing so fast. He will be 1 month in two days!

Lionel was all bundled up and he slept during the whole walk.
