"If you know someone who has lost a child or anybody who's important to them, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died, they didn't forget they died. You're not reminding them. What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that's a great, great gift" - Elizabeth Edwards

Nicci’s Fort!

It was raining almost the whole day today. Nicolina got really bored in the afternoon because we are usually outside at that time, so I decided to build her a fort. She really liked it and crawled in there and sat and played with some toys. We also read some books in there. Fun, fun!

Good Books!

So a couple of weeks ago Eric read a book called Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. He really liked it and told me to read it. I was like, “Hmm….maybe…” A week later the book was still on the table so I picked it up and started to read it. I loved it! It was such a magical book. It was so hard to put it down. I’m so glad I finally gave in and read it. Now I am going to start to read the Twilight Saga Series by Stephenie Meyer. A lot of people have recommended these books and told me they are awesome. They are called Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I’m excited to get started!

Mmmmm Oreos!

This is what Nicci looked like when she had her first Oreo cookie. She liked it very much.

Belly Pic!

So…this is what I look like at 24 weeks. The baby is growing! This pregnancy is going so fast! 16 more weeks to go! Oh and we have decided to name our little boy Lionel. That’s Eric’s grandpas name and Eric’s middle name. We haven’t decided on a middle name yet. Hopefully soon!

And of course I have to post some pictures of Nicolina here. Her other pool broke so now she has a new pool to play in. She loves it! It really helps a lot to have a pool for her when its really hot outside.

Soooo cooooool!

Grateful for Sleep!

I just have to write and say how amazing Nicolina is. For over a month now she has been sleeping from 8.45 pm to 9am in the morning without waking up at all. We never hear a sound from her during the night. It’s so nice to be able to sleep all night long without any interruptions. I feel so refreshed when I wake up. Most of the time I even wake up before Nicci does in the morning. I just stay in bed until she wakes up and then give her breakfast and her bottle. It’s nice to have this time with a good night’s rest before the baby comes. Cause then I will be up during the night for sure!!

I just have to show you this new thing that Nicolina loves. She wants us to put her blanket over her head and then she walks around and laughs because she can’t see anything. She even laughs if she bumps into something. It’s kind of dangerous though and we have to watch her so she doesn’t hurt herself. She gets mad at us if we take the blanket off. Then she walks up to us and wants us to put it back over her head! Silly Nicci.

Nicolina Loves Balls!

Nicci really loves balls. She has a couple of balls in different sizes and she always comes up to us and wants us to push the ball to her on the floor. She also carries her balls everywhere. Cutie. When we tell her “Go and get the ball.” She says Ba ba or baa and she goes and gets it.

Playing in the Water Sprinklers!

Three water sprinklers come on outside our patio every day. Previous days Nicci has just stood there and watched them. Today she decided to run into them and get all wet. It was hilarious! She probably decided it was too hot outside (which it was) to be able to resist this time. I was not prepared so her clothes got soaked. But she had a lot of fun! And of course she held her beloved pine cones in her hands. Silly girl. Tomorrow we will greet the sprinklers again! But this time in a swim suit!

Two New Videos!

We have posted two new videos under Media: Our Videos. They are from the park! Nicolina is so cute! Her hair is almost getting long enough for me to put it in a little pony tail up on her head. It was still a little bit hard so Im going to wait a little longer before I try again but I thought she was such a cutie!

Happy Two Year Anniversary to Us!!

So today is our 2 year anniversary. I can’t believe we have been married for 2 years! It’s amazing how fast time goes by. I’m so grateful to be able to share my life with such a wonderful person as Eric. He makes me so happy! He is the best! He is a wonderful husband and father. He makes me want to be a better person. He is such a good example to people around him. He is such a hard worker. Eric gave me some wonderful flowers when he came home from work. They smell soo good!

Today we decided to have a little picnic at the park. I love going to the park so it was just perfect! The weather was very warm. Almost 80 degrees. Nicolina had a lot of fun at the park. She walked around everywhere and we had to keep a close eye on her.
We went down to the water and let Nicci dip her feet but all she wanted to do was to sit down in the water. We didn’t have any swimming clothes so she got a little wet.
We took a lot of pictures today. I have posted them all in the Nicci 11 month folder. Check them out! Here are just some of them.

I love you Eric!! And Nicolina of course!! And our little baby boy!

4th of July!

Last week was a good week. I finally got a well needed haircut. They trimmed it and cut it in layers. Ever since I became a mom I have liked to have my hair a little bit shorter than before. I can’t believe my hair used to be almost down to my waist when I met Eric. Now its still below the shoulders but a lot shorter then back then.

On the 3rd we were invited to see Eric’s cousin get his Eagle Scout. Yay for him! A lot of family came and it was fun to chat with everyone. Nicolina met some of her cousins. She had fun!

On the 4th we went to a place called Penrose Park with Eric’s parents and siblings. It was low tide so we could see crabs and sea stars on the ground and walk really far out. It was cool. While we were there I noticed that our camera was dead. I only got one picture before it died. So that made me a little mad, but later Tracey took some really cute pictures of Nicci in her 4th of July dress. I can post some of them later when I get them. Here is the picture I got. It’s taken at Penrose park. Its not the best picture but you can see her dress.

When we were done we went to Eric’s parents house and had a yummy barbecue. We had a good time! At night we got together with some of Eric’s cousins. Nicolina had a lot of little cousins to play with. We had a great time. Some of Eric’s cousins we had not seen for a long time so it was cool to see them again. We saw some fireworks and Nicolina looked at them with great interest. When we came home around 9, we put Nicci to bed and she fell asleep right away. It was a long but fun day for Nicolina. Here are two pictures that Tracey took.

About the pregnancy: The baby is kicking and kicking and I love to feel him move. This pregnancy is so much different than the one with Nicci. I worry less and even forget at times that I am pregnant. Nicolina just makes me think of other things. She keeps me busy. I’m glad because I don’t like to be a worry worm. I do make sure that I feel the baby move every day though. Hehe.
